Goodwill, Inc. recently released a Goodwill App which is available for both Android and iPhone users. The app allows users to locate Goodwill stores by city, state, and/or zip code. Once you have began your search, it allows you to get specific details about each location. The details include: Retail & Donation Store hours, Directions and A Contact Number .
My Thoughts
I just downloaded the app today and I have been playing around with it. I found that some of the locations listed didn't have all the location detail information available. Either it was missing the store hours and/or the phone number, but that isn't anything that can't be fixed by a Google search. However, I have two new Goodwill stores that I didn't know about which are both fairly close to my house. I will be visiting them soon.
The app doesn't have a reviews tab, so if you want to find out about the store either go to it personally or you can Google, Bing, or Yelp it for additional reviews. If I have personal been to the store, you can find my rating of the store and comments about my experience at that specific location on the Thrift Store Directory tab.
All and all, I think this app is great! It lets you find Goodwill stores close to you and provides you with the information needed to successfully thrift, such as direction and store hours. Feel free to leave additional comments below for your fellow thrifters.
