Practicing what I preached, I went to the fitting room area first. I just wanted to see what people purged before they made their way to the cash register. I found a beautiful summer dress that I will wear the first day I get a chance (Atlanta weather has been gloomy and rainy for what feels like an eternity).
Let me start by saying I am officially a Sunday Thrift Shopper. Cinco De Mayo (Sunday), I finally made it to the Goodwill on Northside Dr. in Atlanta, GA. I thought I would start this visit by giving back. I donated two bags of clothes that I don't wear anymore ( I got a receipt for a tax deduction by the way) and was able to shop a little before they closed. The color tag of the week was green. I rarely am able to make it on Sunday but I was determined yesterday. I am glad I made it! There was an abundance of green tagged no names to brand named items on the floor. I now know how heaven feels lol. Everything I purchased was 50% off except 1 item but this blazer was worth the $4.25. Trust me!
Since I eliminated fast food from my diet, my jean size has shrunk drastically. I used to wear a size 8 in jeans. Now, I don't have any clue as to what size I wear. None of the jeans that I tried on seemed to fit, but being that I am the Thrifting Guru, I know sometimes certain items can be a miss. I'm not discouraged. This trip has just encouraged me to figure out my new measurements. By knowing what size I am, I'll be able to select pieces better and eliminate wasting time trying on items I know won't fit me. If you haven't figured out your measurements, do it now!
All and all, I had a great Cinco de Mayo. Thank You Goodwill!
